The kit is great, everything you could possibly need to color your hair. The color -on me- was a little too dark. But, I went from a medium golden brown with highlights to this and it was a little bit of a shock when I took off the cap. It's the color my hair was when I was a kid. OK at 22, not so much at 52. I may call and talk to someone about finding a color that's a little lighter next time around. That being said, my hair feels amazing. The color held on and thickened my (very) thinning hair, and it's soft and healthy for the first time in a long time. All of the gray is covered. Overall, Madison Reed hair color is awesome, and I'd recommend it to everyone!

I can't begin to tell you how much I love this color! It was hard to go back to my hairstylist because she used to color my hair. She didn't believe I had done it myself. it looks so natural and has so many different shades of brown in it. I will never use another brand. It's like I have my original color back from my 20's!

I combined this with the Catania 5NGM because I wanted a lighter brown but the system did not recommend it for me because my hair is dark brown naturally but it worked well!! Covered the gray better than ammonia based color!! Next time I will try a lighter shade for the summer and I will let you know how it worked out!
